「Five Gables was just fabulous. Loved the quiet location with a beautiful bay view, the quaint house, our lovely room, front porch and chairs by an indoor fireplace for relaxing. The breakfast the next morning was delicious. Will definitely go back.」

「Our only complaint is that on Tuesday morning there was no place nearby to get breakfast. The hotel had good coffee, but nothing else. There is a restaurant close by but its not open on Tuesdays. We asked the front desk about breakfast and all he said was we'll probably find something open in Damariscotta, way back by Route 1. 「The inn is clean and the property is very well maintained. The staff are very welcoming. We arrived late in the day and didn’t want to drive back up the peninsula to get dinner so decided to eat at the on-site restaurant and it was really good. After dinner we walked to the waterfront to watch the sunset and sat at Adirondack chairs around the fire pit. It was lovely, quiet and relaxing and the atmosphere invites you to take a slower pace.」
