"It's a long drive up winding hills, but once you arrive in Sassi, you can forget about all your worries, sit back and relax. The main farmhouse and the cottage are both well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The pool was a godsend on especially hot days, especially for the children, who spent hours playing Marco Polo and other water games well into the evening. "This little farmhouse is 100 years old and still had everything we needed for our stay. Comfortable beds, nice showers and plenty of hot water. It gave us a taste of a life lived long ago. Views were beautiful and the town of Lucca was 20 minutes away by car. Shopping there is great. The farmhouse is remote, quiet, and in the middle of olive trees. "My spouse and I held our wedding here and it was beyond perfect. We are from the states and had a group of 20 join us for the weekend of our wedding. The villa was more perfect than we all imagined!
