A very good hotel. Well maintained and looked after. Staff friendly and efficient. Modern, clean and comfortable. Only issue is that it’s a ten minute walk into the city of Lucca, but not a big deal if you’re mobile. Would recommend.

The moment we arrived Francesco greeted us warmly. The room was clean, quiet and had a lovely terrace we could enjoy along with onsite parking. The pool while unheated was a great place to relax at. Fabio, the bartender at the bar provide us excellent service and was always working hard. He’s a great representation of what good customer service should be. The breakfast staff at the breakfast buffet also went above and beyond to make sure our coffee orders and food were just right. Thank you to all the staff for making this a great stay!

Very well located with a close walk into the walled city. Lovely staff readily available to assist. Bikes at the hotel for rent that enjoyed for an hour or so ride on the wall and down to a cafe for a cappuccino. The pool although quite small was nice to have. Breakfast was excellent and the lady working the coffee bar so very very friendly. Lucca is highly recommended for a 2 or 3 night stay traveling north or south in Italy. A day at a beach club in Viareggio and an afternoon checking out the leaning Tower of Pisa were our day trips. Cheers to Hotel San Marco!

We hired a bike at the hotel to travel and explore the gorgeous walled city. Easy to navigate and a great choice of eating/drinking places.

This hotel was a a good hotel to stand in Luca. It’s a little off the beaten path, but not a far walk from town. The staff was very helpful and the hotel was clean. The hotel definitely has thinner walls so there’s a lot of noise. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel San Marco. Pietro was kind and knowledgeable and the staff at breakfast were also extremely nice and fast to respond. Breakfasts were fine and the room was very comfortable. The bar came in handy as well. Here are the only negatives: no facial tissues (not a huge deal but it was just a bit strange. So here's the only REAL problem: the cleaning staff were EXTREMELY loud starting at 8 AM in the hallway outside our room. Loud talking, laughing, banging stuff, etc., etc. They did a great job cleaning and making up the rooms, they just woke us up every morning earlier than we'd planned. Sounds like a simple adjustment to us.
