New Years Vacation 2023

My family spent time at this home during the week between Christmas and New Years. We had a fantastic experience. The home was beautiful, furnished well and so peaceful and quiet. The location within Sandestin resort provided easy and beautiful beach access, numerous dining and shopping options, and activities for the kids to do in nearby Baytowne Warf. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were lovely. We would love to return to this place. Management communicated clearly and quickly with any needs we had. A five star experience! I definitely recommend to anyone who wants and peaceful and quiet vacation and a home with enough room for family. Thank you!

1st Time in Villa Lago

We loved our stay. We only wish we would have understood that golf carts could not be rented if the house did not already have a cart. I was sent a link for information for all adults to drive the cart, so I thought we could rent one.

Disappointed

Upon entering the house my two young children had the opportunity to see literally several roaches take off running under the chairs and couch. I began to play wack a "roach" as my two screamed and didnt want to stay. It gets better, as we began to unpack and settle in we noticed several roaches in the cabinets. We called the property managers and they sent someone the next day to set up roach traps throughout areas of the house. After my wife and I cleaned and put the trash outside, we got a notice that we were being "fined" $100 due to the roach infestation cleaning and bags placed outside was outside of the normal hours. We love Baytowne and will continue to visit as we have for many years, but never with this property manager.

Beautiful Vacation Home

While this home is not directly on the beach, it is still a great location. The pool is within a short walking distance and also Baytowne Village. There are several shops and restaurants to visit there. There’s also nightly entertainment and or events that you can enjoy for free. Tons of things for the kids to do as well. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Home was clean and spacious. The only issue we had was the tram/shuttle never seemed to stop at the tram stop at the front of the neighborhood. Not sure why, but after getting passed by a couple times, we just decided to drive. The only other thing that I wish they property had was a golf cart. This would have been more convenient. I would have been willing to pay more as you are not able to rent them at this property.

The house was wonderful

There are two major things that are very important to change in this property. The Televisions need to be updated....we had to purchase a Roku to have full access to up to date Television. And also the living room couch is very poor, it sinks down. Other than that the house is wonderful!

Great place to stay!

We really enjoyed our stay, the place was very clean and so many kitchen items. The only thing that i was a little disappointed about was that there were only 2 dishwasher tabs, no soap in any bathroom, one extra roll of toilet paper, and an extra garbage bag. When you are on vacation, it is kind of annoying to have to additionally buy all of the stuff. We were there for a week, so we had to go and get all of these items, so if i could critique anything, it would be to supply those type of items. They aren’t that costly, and would make a hige impact on your guests, so they didn’t need to go out and buy all Of those items. Other than that, it was a great stay.

Nice place to stay if you can overlook cleanliness.

The house was located in a beautiful gated community. When doing the initial walk through, I took pictures of the damages and stains to send to the management so that we would not be charged for things that were there upon arrival. My family did not mind that there were several scuff and damages to the wall and someone had wrote on the living room wall with a pen but there appeared to be blood on the hallway rug and a blood looking stain on the pullout couch. Which we decided not to use because of it. I let management know I did not feel comfortable using the rug. There was makeup all over the pillow shams and the top comforter in the master bedroom was dirty. There was hair in the sheets as well. The living room furniture and bedroom chairs have stains all over them and the living room chair has a rip that appears to have been patched. We rolled up the rug and put it in the closet so we didn’t have to walk on the stains. There appears to be bleach stains on the living room bench. In my opinion the furniture needs to be replaced. Clearly the place had not been thoroughly cleaned. The upstairs smelled musty. I contacted management immediately after our walk through and they said to send pictures so I did. They thanked me and said they would forward it to whoever dealt with that. We never heard anything else about it. The pot to the coffee was missing and the tram passes to the beach. After contacting the management several times we were finally able to get those the second day of our stay. The Baytown area is nice but about a 15 minutes walk from the house. The beach is about a 10 minutes drive. The management company is quick to respond but their responses aren’t very helpful as they don’t seem to know much about how to resolve an issue other than saying thank you for reaching out. I would have preferred the place to have been cleaner especially with the price we were charged for the cleaning fee. I would not stay here again.

This house is great good location nice neighborhood everything is exactly as described all Bedrooms are upstairs if you have someone that's unable to walk upstairs they might want to sleep on the sofa bed definitely will stay here again if in the area.

Absolutely beautiful property! House was immaculately and tastefully decorated with balconies and back porch seating area. Just a walk from the neighborhood pool and a short drive to The Baytowne Village. We were impressed with the overall experience and will stay here again next year!!

Comfortable and spacious rental house!

The home is very spacious and the beds and furniture were comfortable. Close to restaurants and grocery stores, as well as shopping centers and the beaches. Plenty of room for our 3 adult children. Would consider renting this house again if ever in Destin/Miramar Beach.

Very Nice

The house was beautiful! we stayed 6 days 5 nights. I would recommend this house to anyone. Only downside we weren’t able to get a golf cart. Apparently you’re supposed to book that the day of booking. Other than that great area, great house! I’d love to book it again for next year.
