Mill Canyon Dinosaur Tracks

My wife traveled alone to Salt Lake City during a family medical crisis. We chose this hotel for its proximity to the hospital and positive reviews. As her husband, hundreds of miles away, I expected her to have a safe, clean place to stay. Instead, this hotel was an absolute nightmare. Her room door wouldn’t latch properly. When she reported this safety concern, staff responded, “They all have problems.” The sink water smelled and tasted like sewage, forcing her to buy bottled water just to brush her teeth. The shower wouldn’t get hot, the room and bedding were dirty, and she was placed in a pet room with cat odors and noise. Breakfast looked and tasted like it had been sitting out, and the advertised laundry was broken. When she needed to extend her stay, staff gave conflicting information and called demanding she return from the hospital to check out and back in. The manager also yelled at her and shooed her away when she tried purchasing water and ibuprofen. I called to address these concerns and ask about compensation. Management became defensive, argumentative, and insulting. When they declined an additional discount, I explicitly said that was fine. What astonished me was their refusal to acknowledge ANY of the issues or offer even a simple apology. As a husband, I should be able to trust a hotel to keep my wife safe while she’s away. Instead, management treated legitimate safety and sanitation concerns with hostility and zero accountability.

Great location in SLC, Great Staff, Great breakfast, Nice accomodstios. Very cool house and history. Will definitely stay here next time we visit SLC.
