「This property is a rare example where the reality is better than the photos. It is so often the other way around. It is a unique villa, situated right on the beach with a safe and lovely swimming area just down the steps from the back garden. The pool is lovely if you don't fancy going in the sea, and you can walk along to see the green turtles arriving every morning and evening on Thalpe beach. This is one of the most majestic sights. 「Such an amazing place to stay. Located in a quiet area, but with very easy access to other areas. The hospitality we were shown was incredible. We have stayed in 8 hotels during our time in Sri Lanka, and this one is by far, our favourite. The owner and staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy, this place is a must stay.」

「We stayed a night in September 2025 at the Happy Banana Hotel in Galle (Unawatuna), Sri Lanka. Due to plumbing works, water supply was off for a while. However, the living was homely, night music and people’s crowd was entertaining, and breakfast at the beach was astounding.」
