The property itself is beautiful - a colonial style villa set in lush tropical gardens, with a pool that wraps around the building, but it’s the people who work there that made it one of the most memorable stays ever. The team facilitated lunches, dinners and even a special lunch for visiting family. They always had a smile and a greeting for our 2 year...

「Dette hotel er noget helt specielt. Vi havde et værelse på 3 sal med egen terrasse. Vi havde et alle tiders kæmpe tre lige uden foran og om morgenen, da vi skulle spise morgenmad, var aberne meget interesserede. Det var en morgenmad, som var inklusiv i opholdet, men det blev bragt til værelset til aftalt tid og man kunne komme med ønsker om preferencer. Tillige fik vi en mygge skåner. Vi havde brug for transport og stedet havde en mand ansat, der gerne kørte os til adskillige oplevelser og endda...

We hebben bij het hotel een massage geboekt op onze laatste dag, dit was goed stevig maar ook lekker. Het hotel zit op ongv. 15 minuten met de tuktuk van de strandjes/restaurants, maar dat wisten we van te voren en vonden wij met het heerlijke zwembad helemaal niet erg. 」

Food was excellent, particularly the Sri Lankan breakfast. The menu has increased and has a great selection of Western and Asian dishes but is quite expensive.」

「PROS: We had an amazing 4-days stay at Elysium. This Boutique Hotel is a true gem worth every 5-stars, nested a short-tuk-tuk ride from Unawatuna or Galle. The hotel is on a quiet beautiful beach. There are rocks, so you cannot swim directly in from the hotel, but you have a small and beautiful cove 100m on the right. And you can enjoy the view of fishermen on their stilts from the hotel terrace at sunrise and sunset! Spot is perfect for both. The rooms are very large and comfortable, decorated...

「Large rooms with comfortable bed right on the beach. Easy walking to many tourist shops and many restaurants. Lots of fresh seafood available from these restaurants. Staff was very friendly and eager to help with a smile. The restaurant prepared a seafood grill each night and set tables with candies at the edge of the surf. Breakfast was very good with lots of fruit and an omelette station as well as curry. Can’t go wrong staying here. 」
