"Our stay was great! Location downtown was wonderful. The hotel vibe is very modern but comfortable and the room was the same. Everything was clean and the staff were all Very nice. The Mining Exchange Hotel, a Registry Collection Hotel

"The hotel is nice, but didn't really suit my needs. The room was smaller than I expected, as was the bathroom (the shower is large though, to the point of being unnecessarily oversized). Bare tile floors in a bedroom setting aren't great, but that's personal preference. The staff is great - the front desk got me checked in quickly and were on top of things when I texted them requests. No in-room phone, so be sure they have your cell number. The valets were great at having my car waiting for me when I needed it. The location is good for walking around downtown, and the lobby is a comfortable place to spend time working - that's important, because there is no desk space in a standard room. The main downside for me were the extraneous costs. A daily resort fee is required, but it doesn't actually cover much of anything. Spa treatments, meals, drinks, in-room movies, room service, and laundry will all add to the bill at check out due to the fees attached to the base costs, as will miscellaneous fees tied to city and state taxes. Parking is $35 a night, and it's necessary unless you want to walk a block with all of your luggage from a parking garage that may or may not have space available. I paid $50 to check in 2 hours early, and I also paid $70 for what was supposed to be a $100 meal voucher for the restaurant. After a 2 day stay, with 1 restaurant meal and no other extras, I still ended up paying over $300 more at check out. Was it worth it? In my opinion, it was not."
