Matoya Bay Bridge

Hotel can be easily accessed from the underground shopping area called the Unimall, from exit U8. Take the stairs up from the Unimall and you’ll see the hotel. Very convenient. Rooms are a bit tiny, especially the entrance area. Free water bottle daily. Room service every 4 days. Room echoes a little because of concrete walls.

It’s like having an apartment for yourself, that’s why it’s called residence i think. Big room , have all the amenities as described, even a washing machine inside! I thought it will be in common areas, the fridge is a good size , not the usual mini one, i like the layout, plenty of storage, Takayama station is just 2-3 mns walk, it’s walkable to other attractions(5-15 mns) & plenty of restaurants or shops . Just the tv , no English channels as with other Japanese hotels.I felt safe & really happy w/ this hotel, i thought it’s old but was surprised it’s quite new , modern & spacious, For the price i got it’s really a gem.
