"Beautifully appointed and designed room, excellent location a few feet from major attraction, great breakfast and selection of food items and a very friendly and helpful staff. "
"I have been traveling for 5 months and this hotel was by far my favorite! I was blown away by the attention to detail, the powerful ritual and symposium and the incredible heated pool surrounded by replicas of goddesses. The couples’ massage was wonderful and the staff and experience couldn’t have been better. Mindblowingly great! We loved it! "
"Incredible room, incredible hosts, and incredible location. Right in the middle of the old town it was easy to walk to any shop or restaurant. Staying in a cave hotel was a once in a life time experience. Matera is a beautiful town rich in history. Absolutely recommend! "
"Excellent view on Ostuni from the room’s amazing terrace (we booked room with city view), very good breakfast with lots of options. Parking super convenient just across the street. We took a Tuktuk to the historic center (15 euro) and walked back, it’s an easy 10 min walk. Shower on the smaller side but otherwise a great hotel."
"Very well located, in the center área, cars not allowed but paid parking is within walking distance. Friendly staff and city is a must see. Different from everything I have ever seen."
"Matera is breathtaking! Cenobio Hotel is elegance at it’s finest. The rooms are clean and the staff is helpful and accommodating. Recommend this place 100%!"
"Very enthusiastic young couple who own this beautifully restored historic house in a perfect location to visit the town of Matera. They did not speak much English, but whipped out their google translate for a very lively and enjoyable visit, including an amazing full breakfast of local produce."
"Giuseppe and his staff are really kind and wonderful, I will definitely come back! :) It’s also very close to the Sassi and museums. I can really vouch for it, definitely. "

"Where do I begin. Conche was the perfect stay for such a magical town! I had the hotel working for us before we even arrived. They arranged a TukTuk tour for us, and a driver to pick us up at the bus station when we arrived. Although it was too early to check in Tiziana did everything to make us comfortable. She booked dinner reservations for both nights we were there at phenomenal restaurants that were close and great seats. No request was too great, and although I may have been overly expecting, she came through everyone with a win! The room is beyond imagination! What can you do with a cave. They made it comfortable with all accommodations and romantic! This stay was beyond our expectations! Highly highly recommend! "
"Aside from the hotel being very nice and comfortable and in a great location, unfortunately we experienced an emergency medical situation that drastically hindered my mobility. They quickly relocated us to a ground floor room as I could not traverse the stairs to our original 2nd floor room, mgmt helped my wife with the luggage while is was in ER and arranged cab service for us from hospital, to pharmacy and back to hotel. They went above and beyond in all regards. A special thanks to Denise who made things much easier for my wife while I was receiving treatment. If in Matera again I will definitely look to book."
"We loved Le Malve Cave Retreat, the room was lovely and the reception staff were very friendly and so helpful. We wish we could have stayed more than one night, Matera is a very special place "
"The hostess at Casa Diva communicated with us beautifully. The hotel is charming and very close to a car park, important because visiting Matera involves carrying luggage over stoned streets and stairs. We would love to come back. We stayed in the Junior Suite, one of the few that is air conditioned, and were very comfortable."
"Staying in a cave room but having an entryway in the room with windows out on the gorgeous Matera scenery is perfect. We also had a porch with chairs to sit outside. The breakfast was amazing! Fresh and delicious food served to us by the most welcoming people you could ask for, Angela and Agnese. We also had a wonderful piano player, Gianni, at breakfast every day - now that's a first for us!. If we went back to Matera, which we hope to do some day, we would stay here again. The only negative is WiFi is not reliable in our room. Unfortunately across all of southern Italy our 5g T-mobile plan didn't work either so we used physical maps. We stayed a week and so were able to see a lot of this magnificent area. Most people only stay two or three nights and I feel that is not enough. "
