"The best of welcomes, amazing breakfasts, and the most tranquil of settings"

"Even far from the city of Matera, it was an incredible experience to stay here. Very helpful officials, very beautiful place. Too bad we didn’t have much time to explore more."

"We really enjoyed our stay, and Franco, the host, was very kind and accommodating with our requests. One thing to keep in mind is that this is a pet-friendly property, and the owner’s dog is free to roam around the property. GREAT hotel when u visit Matera."

The food was homemade and superb, the accommodation was clean and comfortable, and the surroundings were tranquil. I could not recommend it more."

"Beautiful and quiet. The chef is amazing and our dinner was delicious. The manager/waiter was not so pleasant. I think it may have been a language barrier issue as we don’t speak Italian and he doesn’t speak English and he didn’t have much patience for translating. We also found the men who checked us in were not very welcoming. For such a beautiful hotel the front desk people should be much more welcoming. My guess is they were filling in for the regular person. Other than that, we enjoyed our...
