We loved the history of the Bank Haus. My elderly mom and dad, three of my grown children, and my boyfriend and I stayed in Marthasville for a few days for my niece’s wedding. It is handicapped accessible and made for a comfortable stay for my parents. There was a tornado warning one night and we were able to take cover in the two vaults. The hosts kept us well informed prior to and during our stay! We would definitely book again if our travels ever take us back that direction!

The owners and management attention to detail and communication were outstanding. The weather during our stay was quite threatening and they were on top of keeping us safe by keeping us abreast of all the warnings. We had plans to do some shopping and enjoy the area but instead, we never left the house and were fine with that. The next door pizza shop was excellent so we stayed in, ordered pizza and appetizers and enjoyed being with good friends.

Thank you for letting us stay in your home! It’s very spacious, rich in history, yet fully updated and fancy. Food options are a short walk away in an adorable downtown. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again!

Spacious and beautifully remodeled historic building. Perfect for our 4 family getaway. Well supplied kitchen for cooking but if cooking is not your thing the pizza place a few steps down the street is awesome and lots of nearby wineries.

Less than an hour away from St. Louis, near the quaint town of Washington and the quiet countryside, the “Bank” was a great rest from the outside world. Lots of charm and old world vibe.

The Bank Haus was great for our group of 10. We all had a good time and the place was clean and cool. The host Nat and Tyann were super accommodating as we had last minute changes. The communications were great. I recomend a stay at the Bank Haus. There is a super nice guy named John who will give you a good deal on breakfast at the Caboose a block or so away. We also all ate at Twin Gables and it was good too.

Property was great. I had 4 couples all over age of 70. The stairs to second floor was difficult and the up stairs bathroom being in one bed room was difficult but we managed. The kitchen had every thing and I mean every thing. Location to wineries was top notch. Enjoyed the stay

We stayed in the super sweet Bank Haus on a road trip to Chicago from New Orleans. Definitely off the beaten path (an hour outside St. Louis) and kinda weird area, but we arrived late and grabbed pizza before the place next door closed. Very clean and nicely decorated. Very unique stay. This special place is my favorite type of VRBO listing. One of a kind and great communication. PS. to owners- DIMMERS!

This was a fantastic spot for a quick getaway from St. Louis. It felt remote but not in the middle of nowhere. The decor and arrangement of the house are fantastic. Very comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, and a great kitchen/living room area. What more could you ask for? Would definitely stay again and will recommend to friends.

We stayed at the Bankhaus for a friendsgiving weekend in November and when we pulled up we were slightly concerned. The outside does not have the best curb appeal...HOWEVER, one inside, we were so happy we stayed here. The home has everything you need and is super comfortable. The uniqueness of the house made our stay fantastic. We had a slight issue with the heat, but it was resolved quickly by the owner. Definitely would stay again!

We had a wonderful time at The Bank Haus. Very comfortable and well equipped. One downside was only 1 bathroom upstairs for 3 bedrooms. A little inconvenient. We would stay again.
