Mayfair Court Motel

2/10 Terrible

"Unacceptable the whole premises needs an up grade and is stuck in the past I' was born and bred in Tokoroa and have been away for 20+ years, only came back for a tangi was so disappointing to see the Mayfair motel so run down, it used to be a beautiful motel back in the days what's happened ??? Definitely will not be recommending until upgrades are sorted."

"An old school bach with great views across the golf course out to the lake. We rented for the Taniwha trail running event, specifically for the wood burner, as it was May and the Spa pool for recovery. Unfortunately, we were notified the week of the event that the spa pool was not working. The heat pump did a great job of drying and warming the place up until we got the fire going, and although there is an Infinity gas water-heating system, the shower pressure is not great. There is also a big outdoor deck for indoor/outdoor flow that has built-in seating and gets all-day sun. The deck needs a bit of TLC, as do the gardens."

Kinloch - On the Lake's Doorstep

"The Kinloch accommodation is in close proximity to the lake and 20kms from Taupō village. The accommodation is very quiet and peaceful. The accommodation consists of 2 dwellings. The main house contains 2 bedrooms. The master is spacious with a queen and the secondary room has double bunks suitable for small children. The second dwelling in the rear garden is a small cabin with a double bed. The main house is well equipped with an excellent kitchen. The bathroom is very nice and the shower offers excellent water pressure. The hosts have stocked the kitchen and bathroom very well with all staple requirements. 1 thing to note is NO LINENS OR TOWELS are supplied with this property… which as an international visitor is quite odd… as no one travels with these items on an international holiday. The nightly rate should be slightly increased to ensure these items are supplied."

"We had a fantastic stay at Lake Vista in Mangakino while accommodating our staff team. The house was clean, comfortable, well equipped, and in a great location.Communication throughout was excellent, and the hosts were friendly, accommodating, and easy to deal with. The property worked perfectly for our team during their stay.Thank you again for your hospitality and kind message — it was very much appreciated. We would absolutely stay again in the future "

"Carla went above and beyond to help us make the most of our stay. The house is well thought out and has plenty of kitchen utensils, crockery and cutlery for large groups. The outdoor area is fabulous. Nice big section for dogs too.Everything was fabulous. Thank you!"
