"This Biulding oozes history and charm. While it is clearly a little tired and basic on the accommodation, which is reflected in the price. The breakfast was exceptional and amazing value! (it was inclusive). All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Chloe stood out in particular, she was very enthusiastic and informative telling us about the history of the building and going that extra mile in customer service and attention to detail. PS pay the extra for the megga breakfast..... it was only...

"Great place to stay, very smart bars and breakfast room. High quality breakfast with good range of options. Poor condition rooms - although clean and comfortable they could do with refurbishing. Overall I would still recommend this as a good value hotel."

"Horndon on the Hill is a picturesque village and the Bell is a delightful pub and hotel. The rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet and in a pretty setting. My only gripe was breakfast which can work out really expensive. Toast and jam is £4.10, a 'Variety' pack cereal £2.50 and tea £2.50. My breakfast cost £17.10 and it could have been more."
