Cottage gem: Spotless, secluded & bring the dog!
Bring the whole family - furry friends, too! - to relax beneath towering trees in our quiet cottage on Madison's west side. Cooks love the refreshed kitchen with all the tools! Enjoy a remodeled bathroom, Mid Mod furnishings & comfy beds. Grill & dine on a spacious deck and enjoy the wooded (unfenced) yard. Dog owners: Up to 2 well-behaved pooches are welcome with $125 pet fee at booking; please observe rules so we can keep hosting 4-legged friends and maintain a pristine home for all guests.
You'll have full use of the main floor of our 3-bedroom ranch, the yard and driveway with parking for two cars.
We LOVE dogs and welcome up to 2 well-behaved pooches (sorry no cats due to our allergies).
Below are the dog rules, which we know most owners follow instinctively. However, we have found out through experience that we must be specific about the rules/standards to ensure we can maintain a great space for all guests.
DOG OWNERS - PLEASE READ:
-- We allow up to 2 dogs
-- Guests must supervise dogs at all times
-- Dogs must be house trained
-- Noise control: Please do not let your dog bark excessively; our neighbors are sensitive to this issue and will call authorities, which will impact our ability to be hosts allowing pets
-- Please keep dogs off of beds
-- Dogs must be on leash when outside on property, including deck; again, neighbors are very sensitive to this
-- Please pick up and dispose of all dog waste (bags are provided or use your own). Place waste in brown garbage bin on driveway. (No loose feces, please!)
-- If an accident inside happens, please use the ample cleaning supplies and Bissel Green machine (liquids only) to clean up as soon as possible. If you use the machine, please flush contents down the toilet (not tub or sink) and rinse out, also flushing down the toilet.
-- We truly also appreciate if you let us know where any accidents may have happened, so we can do an extra cleaning job on the spot.
-- You are responsible for knowing of local laws regarding pets.
A final word about pets: We understand and expect "usual" wear and tear on the property from guests and their furry friends. However, additional fees will be levied for excessive damage (chewing, permanent stains, etc.) to the home or furnishings.

Guest access
You'll get access to the house via our smart lock and a four-digit code.
Standard check-in is 4 p.m. and check-out is 11 a.m. However, we often are able to accommodate early check-ins and late check-outs, as well as bag drops (if we are still cleaning between guests).
Other things to note:
The pet fee: We complete an extra deep cleaning - which takes several additional hours - following any pet stays. That way we can maintain a home all guests can enjoy, even if they don't have pets.
