I’ll start with the good things. The location is unbeatable, as it is right at the base of the mountain. There were a lot of stairs to climb, but that was fully disclosed in the listing. The beds were comfortable. The communications and help provided during the stay were also great. There are a lot of hooks, which I always look for in a rental, and they left plenty of clean towels. What we did not like is that the rental is extremely dated, not just in decor but in functionality. The fireplace does not work, nor does one of the lamps in the bedroom, nor does the overhead oven light. We cooked one breakfast and there was a bad smell from the ancient stove. There was no WiFi. The bathroom sink is very old and has little water pressure. My teenagers didn’t know how to work it because they had never seen anything like it. The lock on the unit door is old and did not work until my daughter unscrewed the lock, readjusted, and screwed it in again. There were two (!) coffee mugs if you don’t count the glass mugs that people may have been fashionable many decades ago. There were three remotes for the TV and no instructions on how to use them. I’ll pay more for ski on/ski off access and am not concerned with dated decor, but this place was too much. It reminded me of my 1980s childhood, but not in a good way. If you are charging that much, you need to maintain the unit. I will not stay there again.
