「Didn’t have the 2 bed cabin I booked for on Expedia when I arrived. Very very tiny cabins in the middle of nowhere Confusing in the daytime can’t imagine driving around at night. They gave me a full refund but since it’s summer it was hard to find something somewhere else to stay. Would 100% not recommend.」

「The staff were extremely helpful, the food delicious, and the grounds and amenities were first-rate. Like many Victorian-era buildings, this one shows a little wear on the exterior. Other than that, a delightful stay.」

「This is a historic hotel, and one should expect not to have the most modern amenities. This is part of the charm! Love the original doors and flooring! We had a single room with a window air conditioner. It worked fine in our tiny room! Made to order breakfast was delicious. You choose from a limited menu, but there were plenty of options. 「Bathroom fan not working or making a noise that was loud enough to hear with the door closed. Water leaking from shower faucet. No mirror in room Other than small bathroom one.」

「The outside was not well maintained. The room was ok bathroom was exceptionally small. Little space to put your toiletries and little space for towels. The room had no thermostat but had a stand alone unit and the room was exceptionally cold. Turned that off during our stay and the room was still cold. Not enough parking spaces.」

「We loved the charm and location. It was peaceful and cozy and not a very far drive to downtown Saugatuck. There's a grocery store across the street. We enjoyed sitting outside on courtyard deck and enjoyed the evening music that was played. One night we skipped going out to dinner and ordered pizza and had dinner in the courtyard. We would stay there again!!」

「Check-in clerk was very good - first words after good evening was “the elevator is not working and gushing with apologies” she was able to find us a first floor room as my wife has major back issues and trouble walking let alone stairs Room was modernized recently and very comfortable. Breakfast was all the normal Hampton food but added chocolate batter to waffle - different Very pleasurable overnight stay but expected to be closer to beach area for the price we paid. Would stay there again...

「There is no lake view in a room that said it was lake view. It was clean. The king-size bed was beyond terrible. It was like 2 twins pushed together with a very lumpy mattress topper. No closet. Very tiny room. The hand sink was in the bedroom. The house was built in 1883, if it had been haunted it might have been worth the $250. It was neither haunted or worth the $250. 」

「The room we had smelled like mold and mildew the entire stay. The floor was damp and turned the bottom of my socks black. The manager said the smell was outside but that was absolutely not true and it smelled even worse in the bathroom. They had a strong scented plug-in plugged into the wall behind the dresser, trying to cover the horrible smell. We had to unplug it as it was making us nauseous. We tried cracking the door to air it out (because the smell was constant and never let up), but they...
