The location is fantastic, right across from the public beach and a close walk to shops and restaurants in South Haven. We stayed in the Samson room, very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was great, loved the choices and it was made to order. Highly recommended place to stay in South Haven.
Delightful B&B for couples. We spent one night but will definitely be back. The staff was lovely, from the man who checked us in to Victoria. This was my first time ever staying at a Bed & Breakfast and I'm sold.
The stay was quite unique and pleasant! Great location, owner was very sweet and helpful! The room was delightful and just like the photos showed before arrival. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!
Upon arrival, the staff greeted us and showed us to our room right away. The room was clean matched the description exactly. We enjoyed a prepared breakfast that was great. Hope to go back again soon.
My whole experience at Yelton Manor was one of magnificence. The manor was a stones throw away from the beach off of Lake Michigan of which I think would be a big draw for their business. Manor not shy of sitting rooms filled with books, chairs and beautiful air flow. After 2 days of walking and exploration, it was nice to get lost in the sitting room loft i found outside my room. Fortunately, I went on an off season, so my stay was greeted by the Manor all to myself. I felt like a king! Couple things though. Being i went in the fall, the grounds were void of flowers of any kind or fall like decoration. Outside patio was a garden filled with untamed weeds. At least manicure the grounds better! The staff was available by phone which I thought was impersonal. I felt like I would be bothering them if I called. Inn taker did promptly help me gain access to my room when I was locked out. Overall 4.7 out 5 stars.
Our room was spotless, super comfortable, and the bathroom had tons of space. The location couldn’t have been better — close to public beaches and just minutes from the downtown area, which made exploring really easy and fun.
A couple of things didn’t quite hit the mark. We were supposed to get the hotel’s famous brownies each night, and even after asking, they never showed up. The breakfast was the same all three days, so it felt a bit repetitive.
But honestly, none of that was a deal‑breaker. I’d happily stay here again — I’m not much of a breakfast person, and my waistline probably didn’t need those brownies anyway. Overall, it was a great stay in a great location.
Great staff, great location across from Lake Michigan, super tasty breakfast, and a very cozy room. Appreciate the stay and we look forward to coming back!
The staff was so great in making you feel special! Very charming atmosphere, perfect location for going to the beach or downtown. We loved our stay at Yelton Manor!
