"I love the Florida Keys, especially Islamorada. The staff was super friendly and the service was excellent. The activities were also great. However, the hotel and rooms need some maintenance and upgrades. The elevator was not working, the bathroom could have been cleaner, and you can definitely see the wear and tear over time. Overall, we had a good experience, but with some improvements, this hotel could be much better."

Ocean Pointe Suites at Key Largo

"The pros. It was a great view but an ocean view over Mangroves which most of the key are. The pool was nice and had good furniture. The room was clean but dated. Plenty of parking. The Cons. The food and drink at the pool bar was overpriced and disgusting. I would not eat there again. There are lots of feral cats running around. You cannot check in at the hotel. You have to go to a welcome center on the Overseas highway. Very odd. I would recommend Mrs Mac’s Kitchen offsite great food."

"Due to low occupancy, the restaurant was closed. They also changed the breakfast arrangement. Instead of being able to choose something from the menu, we were asked to use the buffet, which was expensive and not very good. We received a brochure with all the programs, menus, and other information, but nobody informed us about these changes. This was very confusing and disappointing."

"I had a wonderful stay at Matecumbe Resort in Islamorada, Florida. The efficiency unit was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. One of the highlights of the property is its peaceful setting. The resort offers a high level of privacy and tranquility, making it an ideal place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the Keys. While I had no direct interactions with the staff, their approach was appreciated. They were available if needed but otherwise allowed guests to enjoy their stay without interruption. Since everything was well organized and met my expectations, I had no reason to seek assistance. The resort's location is also very convenient, with excellent restaurants, shopping, and local attractions nearby. To top it all off, the property offers a beautiful view of the sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean, providing the perfect start to each day. Overall, all of my expectations were met, and I would gladly recommend Matecumbe Resort to anyone seeking a clean, comfortable, quiet, and well-located getaway in Islamorada."
