Excellent location and pretty neighborhood. Stayed here last year and would stay again. Breakfast is top notch and better than expected. Chose a smaller room which was clean and comfortable.

A lovely Victorian era hotel, the rooms are spacious, the staff are so friendly and the breakfast is amazing. Convenient to Victoria Station for the trains and the Tube. Walking distance to Westminster, Big Ben and the London Eye. We will definitely be back.

Don’t be duped. This is one step above a motel. The room was cramped and shabby and, since it was in the basement, had no real sunlight. The bathroom was dingy and tight. We had to re-book at another hotel. Not worth the money paid for one night. Avoid.

We are disappointed to receive your review. As is common with our style of property, we do have guest rooms located on the lower ground floor. You did not share a request for an upper floor room at the time of booking. Additionally. we have a variety of room categories (Standard, Superior & Deluxe) to suit various preferences and budgets. We feel that it is a shame that you did not give us a chance to address your grievance, as you chose to check out early, despite being offered an alternative room on an upper floor.

The Windermer Hotel in London is an excellent hotel. We enjoyed our three day stay. The ownership of the hotel is a family whom treats their customers with kindness and respect. Very personable as well as helpful. The free hot breakfast delicious and well prepared and served. We were surprised on how good it was. Unfortunately, dinner was not an option, which may have been seasonal. The room we had was number 14 on the second floor, with a lift available. Very clean, comfortable bed, and roomy enough bathroom. Considering that the building is in the Pimlico and Bravia districts which is a well to do area back in their earlier times, excellent condition. The location is near the Victoria Coach and Underground Station, just minutes away on foot. We were there during the London Marathon which was near Buckingham Palace, very crowded. The hotel is located near the palace on Buckingham Palace Road. I cannot say any negative things about the Windermere, if we ever go back to London, we won't hesitate to stay there again.

We loved our stay at The Windermere Hotel. All staff were very helpful and friendly. The bed was comfortable and there was minimal noise from outside. The complimentary breakfast was absolutely wonderful! Location was very convenient to Victoria Coach Station and Victoria train station. What a gem of a hotel!

We had a very good few days. The staff were very polite and helpful. The room was quite spacious and very clean with a big, comfy bed, a good-sized bathroom and a roomy shower. The breakfast was better than expected, although a little limited time wise. The location is good, with a number places to eat close by and 3 underground stations within walking distance. We would happily stay there again.

Great little boutique hotel in central London, with character and very good value for money. The bed was very comfortable and the complimentary full English breakfast nice and filling (they had different options available as well). The place had a friendly vibe. I would very happily return there. The only slightly negative point is the sound proofing wasn't very good, but that's normal in older buildings.

Outstanding property with very attentive and helpful front desk staff. Even the smallest of rooms (Little Ben on the lower level) was pleasantly decorated, very clean, and contained all amenities. This a pretty good little spot, a bit away from Victoria where all the underground train services are but still within walking distance if you’re in good health. The staff is super friendly, and If you get the breakfast included, it is amazing. What we found a bit concerning was that the heat was automatically set to turn on at night, but managed to figure out how to turn it off. We are hot bodies and we wanted to use the air conditioner but the remote to turn it on was missing. We had to crack open the window to cool the room down, unfortunately there is no screen for the window, fortunately no bugs came in to chew us up. Upon receiving housekeeping services , I layer down on the bed and one of the pillows had a bad smell. Fortunately my second pillow smelled fresh and was able to get rest. Lastly after our last housekeeping service as well the house keeper left a window cleaner spray bottle in our bathroom. We were too tired to complain since we had a day trip to Paris and walked over 11miles that day.

It's great that you made the most of our excellent location, and even managed a day trip to Paris. We do have air-conditioning in the summer months. You were with us in November during a cold spell, which called for central heating. Every room has a radiator which can be adjusted to control the temperature. All of our rooms have windows that open for lovely fresh air, and it is very common to open the windows in London. Fly screens are certainly not needed here, and you may have noticed on your travels that UK buildings do not have such screens. I am sorry to hear about the housekeeping errors, and I have already spoken to our team. Our team is on-site 24/7, so it is a shame that you did not ask us for assistance during your stay, as we could have rectified any issues immediately.We hope to welcome you again!

Excellent base for Central London
The Windermere hotel is a lovely boutique hotel situated a stone’s throw from Victoria railway and coach stations. Set in a chic neighbourhood, close to the King’s Road shopping district, it offers warm, stylish & clean rooms, including a delicious complimentary breakfast. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The Windemere was a fabulous place! The location was superb with so many great restaurants within a couples blocks and easy access to everywhere you could want to go. The room was small but well set up and the bathroom was very nice! The staff were very pleasant and the included breakfast was yummy!

Although the room was relative small, it was functional and the entire property had a quaint feeling. The owners and the entire staff were fantastic. The breakfast was wonderful and we found the location was conveniently location near public transportation and within walking distance to many of the more popular sites.
