They had a problem with a guest who decided to set the fire alarm off at 1:30am, alarm on so long that guests congregated at reception. This was followed by a fire alarm test at 8am, there was no warning that there could be a drill. I complained but was told- “I can only apologise” “Not our fault guest misbehaved” “Can’t control unplanned fire test”

Tiny room!

I’ve stayed before and I really like this hotel for its standard and convenience. But on this occasion the room (509) was absolutely tiny and the opaque none opening window made it feel more claustrophobic

The fire alarm went off multiple times during our stay (and there was no fire), and the door frame was broken off our room. When we alerted the receptionist about the door frame, the put a temporary fix that kept breaking. The only think i really liked about my stay was the air conditioner in the room.

Adequate

Room was a little smaller than expected but adequate, no cafine free coffee in the room but I'd brought some. Bathroom included an amazing shower. Breakfast was disappointing although eggs are made to order not no eggs available without asking, what was there i.e. bacon, sausage etc eas cold. Overall disappointing for a major chain hotel

Ok for one night wouldn't stay longer

Good -Check in v easy, staff smiling and friendly. I didn't notice any street noise despite being in busy town centre(although I was at the back of the hotel) . ASDA just downstairs for supplies. Good number of sockets/USBs. Towels nice and fluffy and bath towel a good size. Bed comfortable. Shower powerful. Neutral - HUGE TV for the room size (I didn't use it, but if you like watching TV, I'm sure it would be great). Bad - Room was tiny. Standing at the end of the bed there was barely enough space to fold clothes without knocking my arms against the TV (and I am a short, small woman). Tiny worktop space too small to put a laptop on and use a mouse, so had to balance laptop on my lap in bed and use a book as a mouse mat. Bathroom bin had no lid - women using sanitary products would prefer a lid. I initially thought that the grout in the shower was meant to be a greyish colour, but then spoted that it was uneven and there were a few places where it was obvious that it had started off as white. (no mould though). Overall Premier Lodge/Travelodge would give a larger room for same price. It was fine for one night, but for longer stays the shortcomings would be less tolerable.

It was a nice room , unfortunately parking is not so great at the location is near at bus lane . The price of the room was very expensive just for an overnight stay . Unfortunately unbroken to myself someone was knocking at my door late at night and when I opened the door no one was as there very annoying and unprofessional .

To avoid being robed don't stay here

Avoid danger of theft! My parents stayed for a few nights. After the second night during the day they stole my father's credit card and made a substantial amount of transactions for about £10,000 as it is an international card! When I went to discuss to the hotel the first response was "why do you worry if the bank will reimburse him the money". Which is shameless and dishonest. I obviously reported the crime to the police. The next day I went back to confront the manager who didn't make any effort to support and only said "I can't do anything because this is with the police." I followed with a formal complaint to hilton who referred it to the local management which responded with the same response. Absolutely appalling from the management and the thief. Apart from the crime, the room was a King but the size was more of a single. Which is fine if you call it that but dishonest to call it King size. You could barely pass to the other side of the bed.

We didn’t enjoy our stay. The rooms were cold. The staff were not very friendly and the breakfast times a complete farce. Clearly not enough staff in there and each day we had to wait for food to be refilled and keep chasing. The breakfast and reception staff were not really friendly.

Die Zimmer sind selbst für London extrem klein und nicht durchdacht gestaltet, zudem haben einige kein Tageslicht aufgrund der Lage an einem Lichtschacht. Das Design ist jedoch schick, das Personal freundlich und die Lage direkt am Bahnhof praktisch (30-45 Minuten in die Stadt).

This is a beautiful hotel! It’s new and very clean and is in a prime location. You are literally right at the Romford train station on the Elizabeth Line. You can also walk outside and be walking distance to shops, restaurants and even a shopping center. The only thing I didn’t like was the bathroom mirror had the lights behind it and not above it so it was like putting my makeup on in the dark. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

Jättesmå rum, gick knappt att röra på sig i de, problem att få plats med väskor och oss själva. Rummen var dock fina i sin helhet men utrymmet var ett problem. Området känns lite osäkert kvällstid men bra med närhet till pendeltåg. Hotellet uppger att det finns parkering men den ligger flera hundra meter bort i ett allmänt garage, undvik om du har bil.

Compact new hotel

New build hotel Spark would seem to be ''Hilton light'' basic clean suitable if all you want is a place too sleep. The room was small in that there was about a foot of space around the bed leaving little space for luggage, it would feel confined if a couple were staying in the room. Good location next to the railway station and town centre nearby. Would use again if in the area.
