Otherwander Soho Pod Hotel

"almost a 5/5 but a couple of things holding it back but overall, a great first impression. The location was fantastic and really couldn't have been better for what I needed. The property was well maintained, with friendly staff and clean bathrooms (even with floor heating!). Although I will say with the bathrooms that it needed more hairdryers (only one in the mens') and also the shower heads weren't that powerful. In terms of checking in, it's done via a QR code which worked... in the end. I felt the QR code wouldn't scan when it should have so it took a fair few attempts. A bit frustrating that it didn't feel that responsive. In terms of sleeping pods, they did a good job with the space and felt I was able to have everything in there that I needed considering its a pod. The air con was a huge plus, although I wish it went lower than 19c. Also i wish there was more pillows. I had one which was very fine and made sleeping a bit uncomfortable. I would have liked a welcome booklet or leaflet in the pod for when I arrived to explain how everything works; like the wifi, the thermoset, the lighting, etc etc. it would be great for first timers to a pod and be a nice touch. Will also say, the prices at the vending machines are far far too high. Overall good experience, with a couple of things stopping it from being great. 4/5"

"This hotel was excellent. Comfy bed, good ac, convenient location, very clean room and bathroom. There needs to be a sign outside the hotel for where guests should wait for Hotel Hoppa. That's the only thing missing. Otherwise a great stay before my flight."

"Great hotel- quiet comfortable rooms. Perfect for a relaxing layover. Exceptional service and friendly staff at reception, in restaurants, and housekeeping. The buffet breakfast is fantastic with omelettes & eggs made to order."

"Upon arrival to the hotel the reception and lobby area was modern and well presented, giving a great first impression of the hotel. We were greeted at reception by a lovely staff member who offered to check us in early which was a lovely bonus. The room was clean and comfortable but was very dated, however this was expected as we researched the hotel before arrival the shower and bathroom were also very dated and the shower didn’t have the best pressure. The room would benefit from a fridge but due to this being an older hotel we understand why this might not be possible. While our stay was enjoyable overall we felt that some interactions with staff could have been more friendlier a warmer and more welcoming approach would have been better. Despite these points we would consider staying again."

"Upon arrival we were greeted and helped with checkin, no long queues, likewise checking out at the end of our stay. Staff were friendly, there was always someone with a hello and a smile in reception day and night. The room was small and clean the bed was comfortable, we only used it as a base for 2 days so ideal for our stay. Great location for visiting central London, the west end and experiencing Londons vibrant atmosphere. The hotel was good value for money being in the heart of the west end. Only fault we found was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room which for us was a slight inconvenience but wouldn’t put us off staying there again."

"The property was really nice. Staff amazing. My only critique is floors can be updated. A little outdated. I was on club floor 11. When my flight got cancelled I booked an extra night on a regular floor 4 which was nicer than the club floor. Loved daily breakfast included in club stay"
