The room had broken furniture. Windows were dirty. Bathroom was decent and clean. Bed was okay but walls were dirty. Staff were lovely though.

If you get a room in such a good location for such a cheap price, you can’t expect much. What you can expect, however, is a hotel that takes pride in what little it does I booked an ensuite room for two nights in April for about £100, so I was expecting a basic bed and ensuite in a probably cramped but serviceable room. What I got was that but as a hotbox. The room was sweltering, and the security feature on the window prevented it from being opened beyond a couple of centimetres. I asked the receptionist if they at least had a pedestal fan I could use to help with airflow. They didn’t have one. I asked if they had a different room. He was able to move me to another room that was also quite warm, but at least had a fully opening window. So he was helpful with that. But overall, the rooms felt like the owners don’t take any pride in the place - no forethought to customers’ comfort if their rooms are hot. I would also say the place was clean enough (the towels and linens did not smell, the bathroom was fine), I also didn’t place my belongings on the beds or floors in fear of potential bedbugs. I don’t believe there were bedbugs, but that was the feeling the place gives off. I was also awoken at 3am on Sunday morning by the building’s fire alarm. Just as I was about to evacuate, the alarm stopped. There was no announcement to say that it was a false alarm or what had happened. Overall, not good other than it is cheap and it’s in a good location.

Creepy crawlies on bathrooms floors... Carpet NEED Deep Clean/Shampooing. Last room:Digital TV issues. Issues about pricing,disparity between online and staff. Very quiet on weekdays.

NEVER STAY HERE. My room smelt like a wet dog, the window was broken so all night all you could hear were the tubes running. The staff were rude and unhelpful. Did not even say a word when checking up and didn’t address our issues properly regarding the smell and uncleanliness

Poor room quality and facilities
Pros Cheap Good location and easy access to shops/tube station Daily housekeeping Cons Wardrobe was broken although still usable. Radiator nearly always on and knob to control heat was broken which meant room temperature was controlled by opening the windows. No bedside table or any table/chair in the room. No hooks to hang clothes (one inside bathroom to hang the towel) Only 1 towel provided. Curtains did not cover the whole of the window. Radiator very dusty. Noisy as room facing underground tracks. Verdict: Would not recommend

For what is paid it is very good price. The staff are good location is great! The hotel is self needs a lot of refurbishing. But For having your own room with toilet inside in the center of London it worth the price. Do not wait luxury you get what you pay for.

Needs an update
TV wasnt working connection crackled and no signal. Carpet dirty, room dirty, shared bathroom dirty, bed ok, I slept. No kettle tea/coffee. Awful place needs a total refurbish, how it stays open is beyond me.

It’s okay
It was and okay hotel for the night single room bit cramped with a unnecessary desk in there. I would leave the breakfast next time. Guy behind desk was friendly enough helping me with my case to top floor. Stored my luggage in the office at a charge of £2.50 per bag. It was okay for what I paid and for one night if I had to come down for cheap night again I wouldn’t mind staying there again if I had too.

I didn't like Expedia getting me a 'special offer' of £100 for two nights when everyone else staying there was paying £30 per night ! I didn't like the fact that I could not check in early (11.30am) despite paying £20 more for my room than the stated rate on the wall of the reception reception (£30) . Nor did i like the fact i couldn't leave my bags at the premises without paying extra and couldn't get wifi without paying. It felt like the famous no frills airline ... I didn't sleep much due to the creaking of the floorboards above me (I think the person involved was trying to get their 10,000 steps for the day done between midnight and two thirty both nights - and I'd to hear each step creak by creak) and the work going on in the train station after the trains stopped for the night ... (I could have jumped into the Wimbledon train it was right outside my window every few minutes )... I could go on but 😔

Affordable accommodation in an excellent location. But that is the only positive. The room itself was damp and walls and ceiling had mould. The small shower room attached to the bedroom (not really an ensuite room) was smelly and mouldy. Overall the room was dated and lacked life.
