「The bed was very comfortable and despite the head I slept really well both nights. Location is excellent within easy walking distance of town centre. Breakfast was first class both days and set me up perfectly on both days.」

「Friendly staff but a bit slapdash at breakfast, rooms comfortable but south facing rooms need a portable aircon unit when warmer outside as the room was stiflingly hot despite window open and fan on. Excellent food which we could not fault for two nights dinner.」

But other than that great place for an overnight stop while on your way up or down Scotland/England.」

「The room was not serviced on two days out of four - the reason given was that the housekeeper did not work those days. The restaurant was closed for evening meals at short notice. The entrance door was closed and locked early in the evening and my keys did not work on occasions.」

「I traveled from Japan specifically to visit Annandale Distillery and the Annan Museum, and this hotel was an excellent base for exploring the area. The building has a lot of character and history, but the room and facilities were spotlessly clean and well maintained. I was unsure how to operate the heater in my room, as this type of heating system is uncommon in Japan, but the staff were always happy to help and made me feel welcome. 「The location of the hotel is excellent with great walks along the river. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Some maintenance was needed to windows in our room and the corridor, with external painting needed, however otherwise our room was fine.
