Great location. The environment was pleasant and welcoming. Both check-in and check-out were professionally handled and easy. We really loved the character of the hotel. The restaurant was fantastic and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The room was clean and big. The bathroom modern. The People were friendly but in the morning, when I wanted to pay the bill the receptionist was not very friendly. There were two, and the blond one was unfriendly.

Beautiful natural surroundings, quiet area.

Excellent and friendly hotel, enjoyed the swimming pool. Kitchen 1st class. Public transport in the area is lacking, so without a car you'll need to walk to station c. 20 mins or to town centre c. 13 mins. No problem as long as the weather is fine. :) Check extra expenses for dog beforehand.

A must stay

I must say that the room here was the most comfortable of my month long stay in Europe. The only thing, and i mentioned it to the front desk staff, is that the shower floor is extremely slippery. They should just run a couple of non slip strips. But thats it. The stay was great, the location is great. I only gave service 3 stars because they are annoyingly slow in the lounge.

We'll be back!

Beautiful building with elegant furnishings and lovely staff. We only stayed for a night's rest after a long drive but check in was a breeze and the beds were comfortable.

Short stay

It's a nice place, we arrived late and had to leave early. But great shower, toilet was running for long times, but notified staff in the morning. The bar looked fun. Coffee amenities in room a little sparse, since we had to ask for additional coffee pets and additional cups. Otherwise everything was great.

Leuke hotel in een mooi omgeving. Leuke kamers, netjes en ook schoon. Personeel zijn enorm klant en servicegericht. Helaas wel een oud hotel, waar renovatie wel aan toe is. Overige minpunt is ook ontbijt. Iets meer aan kwaliteit doen

Prima kamer, ruime badkamer, aan het plafond hingen flinke stofslierten. Niet prettig om te zien zitten nadat je eronder hebt liggen slapen. Heerlijke zachte handdoeken en badjassen. We hadden een balkon. Omdat het in de kamer erg warm was, wilden we de deur oplaten staan. Echter door rokende buren aan weerszijden stonk alles naar sigaretten. Erg jammer dat men op de balkons mag roken. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid en smaakvol. Uiteindelijk een fijn verblijf maar voor ons zonde van de keuze met balkon.

Vriendelijk personeel. Mooie kamer. Heerlijk bed. Prima stoel en poef. Alles netjes en schoon. Helaas lekte de douche en was er geen wifi op de kamer. Raar maar waar, wel in de badkamer. Maar ja, om nu de hele avond in de badkamer te zitten op de wc... Prima diner. Heerlijk gegeten. Ontbijt was ook zeer uitgebreid en goed. Enkel erg weinig fruit.

Het “Hof van Gelre” oogt en ruikt nostalgisch. Wanneer je binnen komt ruik je het tapijt en de geur van een oud hotel (waar ontbijt wordt geserveerd). De gezinskamers zijn redelijk oud en hebben een opknapbeurt nodig. Van de bedden zijn poten kapot of matrassen zijn flink doorgezakt. Kuilen in de matrassen of je rolt gewoon je bed uit. De bar heeft het ook niet helemaal op orde. Personeel dat geen Nederlands spreekt en niet in staat is om met 10 tafeltjes (20 gasten) de bediening soepel te laten verlopen met 3 man personeel. Qua reinheid, service, zijn de handdoeken schoon (wel hard)!! Het zwembad mag wel een update gebruiken. Zeker de muren, die zijn gewoon grijs van de smeer. Het water is schoon, dat is een pluspunt. De trap roest aardig door. Dan heb je nod de kamers op de tweede etage die uitkijken op de achterkant van de hotel. Dat zijn geen kamers. Dat zijn bezemkasten waar je niet eens fatsoenlijk je bed in en uit kan stappen. Je zit 1 meter van de tv af als je die aan wilt zetten. De stoel staat in het looppad. Dan heb je een ouderwetse badkamer / douche. Waar de groene tegels nu ze zelfs in de mode zijn zelfs uit de mode zijn geraakt. Het is een oud hotel die zeker een upgrade nodig heeft. En waar de kamerprijzen minstens €50 goedkoper zouden moeten zijn.

Hotel was keurig netjes , hebben heerlijk geslapen in een prachtige kamer. Dicht bij het centrum. Ontbijt was goed maar heer erg jammer dat het brood met de handen gepakt moest worden. Geen tangen om het te pakken. Onhygiënisch.
