「A Home Away From Home We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at the Edelweiss. It seemed like all our needs and wants were anticipated and when we needed something the owner was there in minutes to help us out. The apartment was clean and well provisioned. The view of the mountains was breathtaking. We are planning to staying here anytime we are visiting Little Switzerland.」

「This peaceful cottage was fantastic. The hosts were very responsive and provided helpful and very detailed check in instructions. The place was beautifully decorated and easy to access.Places to eat are all within 10-15 minutes and tourists attractions within Boone and Asheville areas were only a 45 minute drive away. Would recommend this beautiful place to anyone and hopefully we will be back again. 」

「We had so so much fun during our visit! The location is so beautiful, we were so fortunate to see the peak of fall colors and it was breathtaking. We saw the sunrise over the mountains right from our cabin and we had a clear view of the sky for nighttime sky gazing too, the stars are so much brighter! The actual drive to the house was super manageable, didn’t need 4WD so long as you don’t try to drive up the gravel driveway, which Michelle advises against anyway. Michelle was an awesome host, so...

「The host was very responsive; however this house has so many good qualities but it could be great. The kitchen is lacking, not enough coffee cups, serving dishes oven mits. Downstairs has nothing in it. Ovens downstairs were off temperature. Host did run out to buy new silverware so we had enough during our stay. The house could use hooks on the back of doors to hang wet towels, black sheets in master, make you think something is not clean (never saw black sheets) definitely not enough...

「We were able to book both units in this duplex for a family holiday gathering. Certainly, we could not have found anything better located in Black Mountain. As the property description indicates, we were just five minutes from the center of this lovely small town and five minutes from Lake Tomahawk Park. All of us, including our dogs, enjoyed our stay in Take-a-Hike.」
