"Lovely hotel, staff were fantastic and room was cleaned to an okay standard. We stayed for 2 nights and our room wasn’t cleaned, tea/coffee not replenished, no fresh towels, toilet rolls not replenished resulting in me having to call reception for more. That was the only downside to the stay"

"The bed was very comfortable. When the new manager gets the showers updated and the rooms painted it will become excellent. The food was exellent and the staff were very attentive."

"Very friendly staff and great location next to the water. You can walk from hotel to nearby villages or around the perimeter of the lake. The room was clean, well equipped and had a garden view and sofa."

"Great location - ten minutes walk from Stamford town centre and you can walk from the hotel garden straight into Burghley house grounds - though then a bit of a hike to the house. Nice relaxed dining on the terrace. Large, old-fashioned but well maintained rooms - old fashioned is a feature. Friendly and helpful staff. Not cheap but decent value for money."

"Very welcoming, great room, lovely outdoor space and good service. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. We ate dinner, breakfast and afternoon tea at he hotel and all were excellent. Thank you!"
