The hotel location is amazing you can go everywhere by foot. Staff were 5 stars!!! Meals such as breakfast and dinner felt a bit below expectations due to lower amount of options and variety

The view from terrace was fantastic and the natural areas around very beautiful. The bathrooms and room and terrace could be a bit more modern and toilet fixed because after flushing water continued to run as the piece was apparently damaged. Great reception service.

The Hotel Golf Mar is dated it's true but it's also clean, peaceful & has multiple dining options. The ocean view rooms with balconies are great you can sit & watch the sunset & go to sleep listening to the sound of the sea against the rocks perfect. If you feel so inclined the spa services are fab I had a 30 minute detox facial & a 20 minute relaxing & stress releasing neck,shoulder & back massage I highly recommend them both. The staff are amazing almost all the staff members I came into contact with spoke or understood enough English for us to communicate effectively which is great as my very limited Portuguese wouldn't have gotten us very far.

Mom and Son Holidays

Hello, this is the first time I came with my son to this hotel, is really nice if you are looking for some peaceful days. Hotel is general is okay, the decoration is very simple, we like our room. If you don't drive like me it can be hard at some point because you will have to stay around the hotel, or order a taxi but it can be expensive. I do recommend to visit 2 beaches they are very close, few minutes walking. Also try the inside pool, my son love it! Lovely breakfast 😋 Well it worth a try definitely.

location on bluff overlooking beach on one side and the beach on other. facilities outdated, need upgrade. only 2 elevators from lobby, capacity 4. and a third on other side of building which is 12 stories high.During our stay (2 days), only one of the two elevators was working at any particular time. used stairs frequently. Had to recharge room keys at least 3 times.

This is a tired old relic of the 70s. Bus tour groups keep it going. There is nothing to do in the area. No dining options other than the hotel restaurant. I’m so glad we only booked for one night.

Could be much better, doesn't worth return again.

Great staff, however the hotel is very old, the rooms still have smelly carpet, bad pillows to sleep, breakfast cold and with no variety of options. The only thing fine was the pool, although the water was not much warmer as it should.

Great Views Looking Out. Brutalist Looking In!

Fantastic view from balcony on sixth floor, comfy bed and good breakfast, but the hotel is a visual monstrosity from the outside and is in urgent need of updating and TLC on the inside. There was a big storm on the night of our stay and a hinge was broken on our window so it wouldn’t close properly. The carpet was tired, and the toilet ballcock was broken so the flush streamed unabated. The decoration and furnishings were also very dated. The roof of the indoor pool leaked so badly that our clothes, stored on the sun loungers at the side of the pool, were wet when we came out of the water.
