"I was met by the owner Passi who was waiting for me. I had booked into one of the apartments but wes told that I was staying in one of the cottages by the lake. Passi took me to the cottage which has its own wood burning sauna and stunning views looking out to Lake Orivesi. It was really peaceful and it has its own private beach and a rowing boat plus a swing which I must admit I spent quite a bit of time on there. The centre of Kitee is about 20 minutes away in a car so if like me you do not...

"Conveniently located in the heart of town. I had requested an accessible room. The bathroom facilities for this room were excellent. Large walk in shower with handle bars. Nice breakfast although it was like a maze to get to the breakfast area. The Amarillo restaurant is conveniently located in the hotel."

"Clean, quiet, well equipped kitchen, washer in the room I selected. Attentive staff, great breakfast, they even made me breakfast the night before an early departure. Walkable from train station, downtown location for shopping and dining. Along river for walks and or cycling excursions. Highly recommended. "

"clean, small and simple. it was quite small but we only needed a room to shower and sleep so it worked out just fine. Only reason I gave it 4/5 is because it was quite cold in the room with no way to adjust the temperature. Also make sure to pack what you need as well they had one thing of soap for your entire body and that was all. "

"It has bed, shower, kitchen, cutlery etc. so all basic needs are covered. However it is best to let host about arrival time, as there is no reception and place can be closed. Also it is probably best to travel with someone when booking this place."
