"An absolute gem of a hotel right in the heart of the "old town" area near Kloof Street. Beautiful colonial style design with fantastic local artwork throughout, amazing (cool) pool, honesty bar, secure on street parking (security watchmen at all times) and the most amazing helpful staff I've ever had at a hotel - emails and information on things to do, restaurants etc was outstanding. A really brilliant hotel in every way!"

"Our oasis… while the other hotels along Camos Bay are on the loud main road through town, The Retreat is just enough above the road that you really only hear the ocean waves breaking on the shore or the birds in the gardens. We were so happy we picked this place instead of near the chaos. "Had an amazing stay at the Underberg. The staff were super friendly and the owners took well care of us as well as everyone else! It's situated in a great neighbourhood in Tamboerskloof with only 2-3 minutes walk to amazing restaurants and bars.
