We rolled into Mt. Shasta at the tail end of a long driving day, and Summit View Inn turned out to be exactly the kind of place you hope for on a road trip. Not polished, not trying to be — just genuinely welcoming. The room was bigger than expected and clean, and the little courtyard with the tables and fire pit ended up being our favorite part of the whole stay. We sat out there in the evening with the mountain right there in front of us and didn't feel any urge to be anywhere else. It's a small, independently run spot, and that comes through in the best way. Easy check-in, quiet night, quick walk or short drive to town for food. For the price, it's an easy recommendation to anyone passing through on their way up or down I-5. Thank you for a restful stop. We'd stay again.

This property was absolutely fantastic! Full kitchen, lake right off the deck with walking trails around the lake. Super quiet, great location, will definitely stay here every time we’re in Shasta. 10/10 highly recommend.
