"The Villa Aloni exceeded all our expectations in terms of quality and facilities. We were looking for somewhere in "hidden Crete" and this property in Maza gave us a sense of rural remoteness but with access to the national road (and easy drives to Hania and Rethymnon) in 5 minutes. The villa was excellently equipped with every modern convenience (except a dishwasher which might have been an asset for a larger party). Everything worked effectively and when the kettle broke, this was replaced...

"This beautiful villa is a hidden gem. The little village is so gorgeous. The drive up through the olive orchard is stunning. We never tired of the view. The restaurant that it attached to the villa is literally at the front door. The food is amazing. Though breakfast is not available, it's a short drive to a nearby town that has several other dining options. The pool is small but private. We would definitely stay here again. "

"From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a very welcoming host. He was always available whenever we had questions. The villa was absolutely beautiful and spotless, and the pool quickly became the kids’ best friend throughout the holiday. The old town of Rethymno was just a 20-minute drive away. All in all, a perfect stay – Alexandros was the man with the big smile and always ready to help."

"The villa is very typical greek. Lovely pool area in a stunning greek village. We have stayed before and will come back again. "

"What an absolute gem of a place to unwind and slow down overseeing the beautiful libyan sea coast. The host was very welcoming, helpful and easy to communicate. Located beautifully in a peaceful area of Crete - the place felt in every aspect mindful of its nature, native flora and fauna. With fully functioning and equipped facilities and a bonus 5 mins walk to the beach, we enjoyed every month and rested very well. Can’t wait to visit again!"

"Very nice place with pool and a nice view."

"Lovely villa with great views. Hosts were great and the breakfast was spot on each morning. We were five adults which was ok for space/ beds but not ideal, nor suited to parents and kids."

"Excellent accomodation in a very nice region and beautiful snady beaches. Location is central to trvalling accross all of crete. Will definately revisit."
