"Great base for walking in Langdale, you go straight out of the back door and up to Stickle Tarn. Excellent breakfast with good choices, a good selection for the evening meal and the Old DG hotel 15 minutes walk away if you fancy a change. Nice lounge for the wet days. 100% recommend"

"The staff were fab, couldn’t do enough for you. We stayed for 2 nights and did a few walks round the area and it’s in a great area. The room was lovely and spacious. We also took our dog and the amount of space and areas they were allowed was great. The breakfasts were really nice and again, the staff were really great. My only real gripe was a 10:30am check out but that’s being really picky. We are already planning our next one"

"The hotel was very well maintained and super clean one of the nicest hotels we’ve ever stayed in the Uk, the staff went above and beyond and were very accommodating they kept our luggage as we planned a hike and the breakfast was lovely too. We hadn’t had the time to use the spa facilities or anything else. We would recommend this hotel as everything is super close and convenient. Thank you to all the staff"
