I was Traveling with my 10 year old daughter for a cheer comp. I will only be booking this hotel in the future. The security and staff made us feel completely safe and welcomed. The valet and front guys went out of their way to look for my uber so we were not standing on the street. There was a situation with a local person and all 4 up front made sure we stood back and were safe without causing a scene or making anyone feel uncomfortable. I do not write reviews but was blown away with how great all of the staff was, even the handyman coming right up to change a bulb and assure my daughter the lock was tight:) Great Job Thompson! We will be back next year for sure!!

One of the few lakes in our country that is relatively healthy, at least one may swim in it!

The water right below the dam is the clearest and there seem to be fewer people there also.

There's a few parks in lake travis to visit. One of them charges $10 per car which is reasonable. It's best to take your own fishing/swimming gear because these are not offered here.
