"The desk did not have any electrical outlets to plug in my laptop. Nearest plug was for a lamp which I had to unplug to use. Later it stopped working. Had to plug in next to the bed and sit on the couch to use the laptop."

The hair dryer was completely unusable because it had a broken part inside and gave off a strong electrical burning smell, making it unsafe to use. There were also large cobwebs around...
