"nice place but nothing around "

"One of the loveliest stays we have experienced in a unique place. The peniche is exquisite and cosy. Some people might not like sharing the common spaces with other guests. However, we had the place to ourselves 2 nights in a row and met lovely people at the breakfast table. A place like no others. There could be more comfortable chairs in the living room if the weather was inclement."

"Clean room, comfortable nights sleep. Good breakfast but charged at rate significantly higher than that advertised on hotels.com. Hotel showing signs of wear and age - in need of refurb. "

"Dreadful smell in the reception/ dining area. All publuc areas very tired and looked / felt dirty. Bedroom was tiny and bathroom was so smslll your knees were rubbing against the wall when using the toilet! Bedroom seemed clean but carpet not so much. Just needs money spent on it. The area itself was quiet but odd - various hotels all together but all run down and grotty looking. Would not stay in this hotel or this area again."
