Being close to the train station was a big bonus for us. The property is really nice and there were plenty of restaurant options within walking distance.

This was a clean and spacious place a 5 min walk from Kyoto station, so it’s very convenient to stay here when using Kyoto as a base to visit other towns. There is a clam ramen place next to the hotel, which always seems to have a 30 min wait. There are 7-11s and Lawsons close by, and those convenience stores always have sandwiches and rice balls made the day of. Great place to stay.

One of our favourite hotels in all of Japan. Their breakfast buffet had a lot of options and they had a self serve area to pickup some toiletries (face and hair mask!)

Richmond Premier Hotel - location is the best It is near the Kyoto Train Station. The shopping mall is a 10 minute walk. There are many restaurants within 2 to 3 minutes walk The hotel has many amenities. There is an amenities bar where we were free to take what we needed. The breakfast buffet is one of the best. The daily welcome drinks- wine , beer, sake is always welcomed after a day of touring. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.

Our stay was amazing - the hospitality and food (breakfast, afternoon tea and aperitif) are excellent. However the cleaning could be improved, I still see hair on the floor after a full clean (no they offer eco cleaning or full clean). It’s close to Kyoto station and city loop bus stop which is convenient.

An Excellent Accommodation Experience
Kyoto Station is just a 5-minute walk away, making it a great location for sightseeing. Although the triple room I reserved is a bit small, it has a clean and modern atmosphere, and all the staff members are friendly. What's more, they provide complimentary tea and snacks in the afternoon and free drinks in the evening, which was nice. Amenities are also provided on the first floor for guests to choose from. They even helped me make a reservation at a local restaurant, so I had a delicious meal.

We loved everything about this hotel including location. It was close to the buses and train station. The evening refreshments was so nice with a glass of sake. The entry way to the hotel was beautiful with a garden and everyone at the hotel was very helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be back.

Clean & modern hotel 2 blocks from the train station. Rooms are extremely small for multiple people & suitcase. Hotel offers daily complimentary afternoon tea & local sake tasting. Would definitely stay again if in Kyoto.

Wonderful experience. The best: Unique and secure Wi-Fi SSID and PW for each room, did not trigger any warning of my internet security software (first in all my many hotel stays). Relaxing afternoon tea and happy hour included in room rate. Excellent: services of all staffs. Though small in American standard, the room is very clean, and the layout and design are modern and practical, like separate toilet, bath/shower, and wash areas. The not so good: not enough electric outlets bedside, and no dresser/drawer spaces to speak of. Overall: 5 star service at 3-star prices.

Nice hotel! Loved the little traditional seating area that they had in our room! The room had free tea which was nice! Only disappointment was we didn’t have a view, our view was just another building across from us. But that’s the only complaint I can think about! Loved the buffet breakfast that they had! And it’s a good walking distance from tourist spots nearby!

Pretty clean and new overall. You use the TV to check laundry status, remaining wash time and set room cleaning. I think there are two floors with coin-operated washing machines and each of those floors has 3 machines, which is pretty sweet. Staffs are helpful and nice. Breakfast is good but they’re the same every day. The location is near but not very close to a subway station, it’s convenient enough. I’d pick this one again the next time I come visit Kyoto.
