It's close to the town, which has good izakaya and other options if you're not on a meal plan. There is also a Lawson close-by. "Rooms are a bit dated but super clean and well maintained. Staff was awesome, and the breakfast was one of the best I've had at any hotel in Japan. Location is fairly remote, but extremely peaceful, and there are free shuttle busses into Toyooka. Onsen was pretty good and clean. If you are looking for a relaxed time away from the typical tourist bustle, I can highly recommend this hotel. Most guests were elderly and extremely friendly, and it was completely silent at night."

"夏休み、田舎の祖父母の家に遊びにきた感じでした。 宿泊前にハウスルールが送られてくるのでその通りに行動したら良く、セルフチェックインで誰にも気を使うことなく過ごせました。 近所の公民館まで散歩して花火をしたり、夜遅くまで土間でおやつを食べながら話したりとても楽しかったです。 年季が入っている感じなのに清潔で快適でした。 人家の多いアットホームな場所なので、大丈夫かとは思いますが鍵が心許なく、一緒に泊まった友達は部屋に怖い人が入ってくる悪夢にうなされていました。 感受性の豊かな人はそこにちょっと怖さを感じるかもです。 私達もそうしましたが、防犯面に心配のある人は一軒借りるプランではないと安心できないと思います。 調理器具はありますが、凝った料理はできないので外で食べるか、お惣菜を買ってくるか、料金を払ってバーベキューか備え付けのカップ麺等を食べるかするとよいと思います。"
