The downtown was geared towards cruise ships. We liked it when none were in town. We felt safe, but were told to not leave anything in our rental car and not lock our car while in Bonaire. Good selection of restaurants. Friendly sales clerks and wait

Fun town. I wish the stores were open later and when the cruise ships weren’t in too. One store was closing for four days. Bonaire is a great island to visit.

This was our second trip to Bonaire and after our first in 2006 of course things have changed. major change is the docking of cruise ships and the thousands of visitors each day. So some of the laid back non-touristy vibe is gone.Still great fun
