Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Won’t come back
After several pleasent stays in Chiang Mei with amazing customer service it was a rude awakening arriving here. The hotel lobbyist was on the cell phone and seemed annoyed to have to check us in. Outside of walking us to the room no other information was given nor the breakfast hours provided. The room was plenty spacious however the balcony doors were open which left the room full of mosquitos. Spend a good 30-45 minutes in a epic war with them.
We had paid the extra dollars for breakfast included meal which we regret and were better spent on local street food. The breakfast was buffet status and the food was put out with burners that were never on unless you complained the food was cold. The options varied from day to day however it was cold everyday. Staple items on the menu were toast, fruit, cereal, yogurt, soup (varied), rice, scrambled eggs, hot dogs and ham. On our stay we saw pancakes, French toast and nicked meat with vegetables which were not available everyday.
On the same street off the hotel there was construction on a hotel underway. Across the block is a huge condo development underway and it began very early daily - it could be heard from our room. We opted to walk everywhere during our stay. There is a big path if you exit via the front of the hotel which had a long dark stretch. On this stretch you will find mountains of litter which has been left and seems like it isn’t on anyone’s agenda to dispose of properly. The road the hotel is on has heavy traffic
