"An old school travel hotel with a nice onsen. This was a great jumping off spot to see Lake Mashu observatory, drive down to Sunayu Onsen and dig your own onsen, etc. Staff were friendly, breakfast was traditional Japanese breakfast. Overall, nice and easy stay."

The breakfast was wonderful, lots of different Japanese breakfast items with view to the snowy forest. However, we couldn't help feeling that our stay was a bit of an inconvenience to the host family, which was not really about language problem.
