If I could I would probably give this a 4.5. The staff was excellent, the room was large, clean and very comfortable. Parking was easy and it was in a good location. We loved the personal soaking tub on our patio. The only thing I would rate a bit lower would be the buffets. There was a lot of choices but for anyone that is picky or prefers a western style meal it’s going to be a bit challenging to eat. The location is very convenient, next to JR station, Shari bus station and Seicomart. The hot spring is good.

This hotel has a nice lounge area to relax after some hiking. It has some beverages and great background music to enjoy a civilized drink before dinner. Dinner was excellent, with very dedicated staff to make it sure everyone enjoyed the dinner.

Incredible staff hospitality.

We had a wonderful 3-nights stay at Lamp No Yado Moritsubetsu. We were two couples and took two Japanese-style rooms, both of which were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel very welcome from the start. The setting is beautiful—peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by lush greenery. An old school travel hotel with a nice onsen. This was a great jumping off spot to see Lake Mashu observatory, drive down to Sunayu Onsen and dig your own onsen, etc. Staff were friendly, breakfast was traditional Japanese breakfast. Overall, nice and easy stay.

Wonderful location with great amenities and very friendly staff. I was fortunate to be upgraded to a spectacular room, but the primary pleasure of my stay was being able to relax after a long hike in a comfortable environment, enjoy the hot spring and re energize with a delicious dinner.

It’s a fine business hotel, but they do need better pillows

This place served an amazing dinner service. You really felt like you were at the seaside. The smoking room was nicely furnished and looked like a nice space, but it was very smelly when you walked past. It would be nice if there was a comfortable common area for non-smokers. The rooms had ample plush towels, and comfortable futons.
