Breakfast was great. You get a full meal with soup, onigiri, salad, and juice.
Location is right next to Maibara which is really convenient. If you need additional food, there's a supermarket nearby.
Rooms are very clean.

We loved our stay in Hikone. The room was comfortable given we had three single beds. The hotel is only a minute walk from the train station and close to dining establishments. It's also a short walk to the castle - which is a must.
This was a week into our trip, so we availed ourselves of the laundry facility. It is located on one of the floors, not in your room. It had two washers and two dryers.
The staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

Fantastic stay in this onsen style ryokan. Had a wonderful private onsen in our room, overlooking the river and the lake beyond. Can’t ask for a more perfect experience. Waking up early to soak in our private room onsen before dressing and heading down for the Japanese style breakfast included.

This is a basic type of stay. But the hotel is convenient to the train station. The way is well lit and safe. The room and bed are comfortable and quiet, even on the railway side of the building. I do not eat their breakfast, but it does look good.

There's a restaurant on site for dinner which is convenient because the hotel is sort of on a main road (i.e. you wouldn't just wander down the street for dinner and it's hard to cross the street). Good breakfast buffet. There's parking at the hotel. Wifi is fine. There's an onsen on site.

The hotel is a bit dated but the location is excellent if you want to ride on the Gozaisho Ropeway. It is right next to the Ropeway station. Moreover and since we booked our room on a Sunday that traffic to the hotel is quite bad as a lot of people were driving to the summit to take the ropeway ride.
On the other hand, we take advantage of its vicinity to the station that we are the first taking the ride the next day. Ticket to ropeway riding is sold in the hotel at a discount.
