Staff was very friendly. Room was clean. Location was awesome. A bit of a letdown that the pool was not open, but otherwise a great place to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was pleasant and went above and beyond to accommodate us. Everything was clean and well-maintained, the property was nice and easy to walk through, and there was always an attendant available to help us.

I think service was the most disappointing at front desk and restaurant . The host Also , we ended up going to Riggs for breakfast one morning because the breakfast menu was very mediocre and eating it for 3 days in a row got very old . Dinner menu is not bad but also only if you eat there once , they don’t even offer daily specials that would add a little variety .

You certainly cannot beat the location of this hotel. It’s very close to the US Capitol, and part of the National Mall. I’m not sure what the business model of Yotel is, but I’d definitely classify this as a “no frills” budget hotel. Having said that, the rooms and common areas were clean and fresh. You can tell the rooms have been updated relatively recently with mood lighting, and numerous ports to charge your electronic devices via USB. The WiFi was decent, and should be fast and robust enough for remote work. However, there wasn’t any water in the rooms, and all of the soap, shampoo, and lotion were from refillable bottles attached to the wall. These was a fairly nice restaurant in the lobby with a nice outdoor patio for eating. We weren’t able to go to the rooftop bar, as it was closed for another few weeks at the time of our stay. Here the bad… the staff were not very welcoming. There was only one courteous staff member that I interacted with. The rest were downright rude. One of the porters refused to speak with my female friend. We were together, she tried to ask a question, and he ignored her until I asked the SAME question! It was a very inauspicious beginning to our stay. Also, the last morning of our stay, there wasn’t ANY HOT WATER. There wasn’t an apology, or concession, even though we did mention itWhile I wasn’t expecting anything free, an apology would have gone a long way. In summary, it was just an “ok” place to stay. Not sure I’ll stay there again.

Our go to place to stay in DC. The rooms are big and clean, the restaurant is excellent but the friendly staff is what takes the experience to the very top. You’re a short walk from either the White House or DuPont Circle. Five star service
