Hotels near Keio-Tamagawa Station

"We stayed for 5 nights as our first stop in Japan and it was a great way to start our holiday. The hotel is located on the top 3 floors of the Rakuten building so when you enter you take the elevator to the 30th floor for reception. The hotel location is extremely convenient - 5 minutes from the train station and a giant shopping centre (with the most incredible gourmet food on the basement floor). The hotel itself was impeccably clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Most spoke good English so communication was easy or we just used Google Translate to communicate our requests. The hotel also has a complimentary public bath with segregated rooms for men and women. The baths were nicely designed and very clean, definitely recommend taking advantage of this feature of the hotel. Our favourite part was definitely the view from our room. A few additional details: - there was a kettle and cups in the room but no tea or coffee, however this did not affect our comfort at all as there are so many convenience stores around if you want a drink either early in the morning or late at night - the room comes with 2 pillows only. We asked reception for extra pillows and an extra blanket and they promptly brought them down - no iron in the room but we asked reception and they brought us an iron and ironing board - there is a currency exchange machine at reception as well. The exchange rate is better than you would get at the airport."

"What a wonderful stay. You really don't want to miss out on the sizzler breakfast buffet. As an American I was horrified to learn it was a sizzler, but somehow Japan does everything perfect. I would go back without hesitation."

"Staff members are very helpful. They wanted to help us. We loved and relaxed with the bath and sauna downstairs, which was opened until 12am, the last entry was 11.30pm. There was no safety box in the room. We enjoyed Japanese breakfast which was lovely. There was no bread, buns, cereals and fruits. Some westerners wanted to eat bread so they were upset. The check out was 12pm so we were relaxed until then and I felt it was comfortable for us to stay. "

"The room was small, but sufficient for my needs. It was very clean. The bathroom was spotless. The bed was firm. The free breakfast was varied each day with typical Japanese cuisine. The staff were very friendly even though I speak no Japanese."

"Absolute insane amount of amenities for a place that’s only $50 usd a night. Free drink bar, free alcohol, hot spring, massage chairs, free books (albeit in Japanese if you can’t speak it), and a tv in every room. Capsules are about as comfortable as one could hope. This one is about a 20 min train ride from Shinjuku so easy to see the sights of the city from."
