Just moments from Cahill’s Lookout, The Gingerbread House is a spacious sandstone retreat for up to nine guests. Four bedrooms, airy living with raked ceilings, and a cosy gas fire make it perfect year-round. French doors open to a leafy garden terrace, while the well-equipped kitchen and large dining table invite shared meals. Close to Katoomba, Scenic World, and the Three Sisters — your ideal Blue Mountains base.



Set on Cliff Drive, just moments from the breathtaking sunsets at Cahill’s Lookout, this sandstone cottage offers space, comfort, and the perfect position for a Blue Mountains escape. With four bedrooms and generous living, dining, and kitchen areas, there’s room for everyone to unwind without ever feeling crowded.



Step into the living room and the raked ceilings immediately open the space, letting light and air move freely. In winter, the gas fire turns the room into a warm retreat, while in summer, French doors open to a leafy terrace, blending the indoors with the garden beyond. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the afternoon sun, filling the space with a soft golden glow.



Upstairs, the queen bedroom enjoys the privacy of an ensuite, while the second bedroom features a double bed with a single bunk above — ideal for families or friends. A small sitting nook overlooks the main living area, and a narrow veranda offers a quiet place to watch the sun sink over the ridges.



Downstairs, two more bedrooms — one queen, one with twin beds — open through French doors onto the back terrace. From here, the garden stretches wide, with a sense of peace that only the mountains can bring. Nearby, the main bathroom offers a shower over the bath, and the laundry is equipped with both washer and dryer.



The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped, designed for more than one cook to work side by side. In its own wing, the dining room features a large table seating up to nine — a place to gather, share meals, and plan the next day’s adventures.



From this central location, Katoomba’s town centre is just 2.5 km away, with Scenic World and the Three Sisters only 2 km from your door. The highway is a short kilometre away, giving you easy access to the other villages of the Blue Mountains.



Whether you visit in the warmth of summer, the crisp air of winter, or the blossoms and colours of spring and autumn, The Gingerbread House offers a comfortable, welcoming base for up to nine guests.
