「The property was superbly postioned... Just steps from the sea... The owners were very welcoming to me which was reassuring as i was staying alone. My room was airy and spacious. The decor and furnishing was slightly dated but did not bother me as it was very clean. The bathroom was small and could do with modernising the shower but it was adequate. I think they should advertise the cost of the air conditioning as for some €7 a night may eat into their spending money if on a budget. I would...

Our hotel wasn't necessarily *close* to all the food/shopping or the fort, but it was within a reasonable walk that felt safe to us. 「The house was a lovely old Cretan house renovated to a high standard, and Popi was a wonderful, helpful, and knowledgeable host - really friendly and full of suggestions of where to go next. You will need to have a car to get around as it is not at all central, and do not expect a modern building - but it was full of character and the aircon worked very well, so in my eyes it was perfect! I would happily stay here again, and hope to do so some day in the coming years.」
