The hotel staff were friendly amd helpful.Breakfast was quite and nice.The room is spacious.The older part of the hotel is in decent condition,but u can see a lot signs of repairing that wasn't fully done,the cups on the fridge and bathroom had yellow marks and dirt inside,this is a bit uncomfortable to see.....but it's quite and in a good location,we had a great sleep there,that's the most important thing.

I lived in this city for long time and I love the location. You can easily walk in the city center. Close to Beirtheimer Allee and Karlsruhe’s beautiful zoo. Groceries and restaurants are easy to access. The hotel and the staff are very nice and polite.

Please clean more thoroughly....

Service was good and bed quite comfortable. The breakfast quality of food was good. However the overall cleanliness both at the breakfast (glasses, cups etc) as well as our bathroom was not acceptable.

Excellent facilities (spacey room, excellent shower, wifi, bed). Check in at night found me with an unexpected closed reception and had to call a number to get a code to a locker. It would have been nice to get a reply from my message I sent via Expedia to get the code in advance, as it took an extra 15 minutes to get in the room after a very long drive.

Pleasant stay....

It was an overnight stop during the trip to Austria. We stayed there on the way there and on the way back because it was the cheapest hotel with breakfast included. Room was big with comfy beds, bathroom could do with updating but at the end of the day we had bath, shower, toilet and hot water so I'm not going to complain... Breakfast was good (decent selection of hot and cold food + good coffee machine). Overall pleasant stay and i will definitely stay there again if the price will be right.... :)

Likes: - location is approximately 15minutes to Karlsruhe Hbf and easy to navigate. - The room is clean and spacious. - The staff are lovely and kind. - Good variety of breakfast. The staff were ok. The location is great, it is close to the zoo, Biertheimer Allee which is a very nice little park. We made a reservation during the summer, our room had a very small AC, which was not even make the room just 2 or 3 degrees cooler. Very hot, difficult to fall sleep. The minibar was not working, even the water bottle they put in the minibar was hot! Breakfast was very good but still in a warm room, where also flies were flying around. Other than that everything was fine!

What more could you ask for?

Fantastic service on both English and German, although obviously better in German. Quiet and located in a great area. They were able and willing to accommodate a late arrival although it was not necessary. I struggle to think of anything that could have been different or better, especially for the price. I’m almost disappointed I haven’t tried any other hotels in Karlsruhe, because I will never stay anywhere else when in town. AMERICANS PLEASE NOTE: it is not typical for German buildings to have air conditioning, and I believe this hotel is not an exception. You can limit the amount of heat in your room by closing your black out curtains during the day.

In need of updating and not very private

Spacious room with double bed and separate lounge, but furniture and fittings are in dire need of modernisation - the room felt old and tired. Balcony (and bedroom window) faced straight onto hotel restaurant terrace where guest were chatting loudly and there was no privacy. There was neither airconditioning nor a fan in the bedroom despite it being a hot summer's night. There was parking in the deep level garage, but no lift for the baggage. Service was ok but not overly friendly.
