The front desk team is super helpful and friendly, and they speak great English. The rooms are very clean and a bit more spacious than what you’d expect in a typical Japanese hotel—they even have a microwave, a mini kitchen, and a separate bathroom and toilet. You’re close to lots of restaurants, shops, and convenience stores, and Okubo Station is just a few minutes away. We’d definitely stay here again!

Had a great stay! Bed and pillows were firm with the perfect amount of squish. Staff were really nice and just a minute walk away from the convenience store too.

The room we had was an as advertised 129sqft. Small by western standards, but workable for two travelers. The location near the south gate of Akabane was really convenient. For a friendly and authentic experience, check out the standing Izakaya that is just across the side street from the hotel.

This was a fantastic hotel! The location was incredible - it is walking distance to the Yamanote train line which connects you to other main attractions in Tokyo. There is also tons of great restaurants and shops in the area as well and a convenience store in the heart of the lobby making it easy to grab food, drinks or other supplies. I stayed 6 nights as a SOLO female traveler and wondered if this was the right hotel for me. For one thing, the "Adults only" confused me. Great location in Shinjuku and easy access to surrounding areas. Relatively close to Shinjuku station and not a far walk. Laundry is in the unit and the staff changes out towels and makes the beds every day. They also provide extra detergent pods if you run low. Check-in and check-out were very easy. Highly recommend this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The layout of the YAGURA room was really cool. I've never seen a hotel room like this before, and it utilized the space really well. With two mattresses in the upstairs loft area and a large day bed in the main area, this was perfect for our group of three. This is a great hotel for the price in Tokyo. It's right on the Yamanote Line, which goes to most major parts of the city, and is only one stop from Ikebukuro. The area around the hotel (Otsuka) is also a nice residential area and makes for a nice morning walk. Service is very good, and the room makes great use of its small space. Breakfast is good,with Western and Japanese options. Leaving the JR station, turn left at the gates, then right out of the station. Walk about one block.
