I would like to rate this hotel a 3.5 but I can't. It is not the building in the pictures at all, that is a residence of some sort. The hotel is an old yellow building past that fancy building. The building greets you with ratty old carpet throughout and a very old elevator. The room was like a nunnery we stayed at in Italy once, sparse, with not a thing on the walls. The furniture is old and banged up. I thought it was an old dorm converted, only to learn that it had a heyday and has been around for years. The shower was weak and low pressure. The staff are rarely at the front desk. Breakfast was very minimal, probably because there didn't seem to be a lot of people staying at the hotel. To be fair, Lund itself seems to need an overhaul compared to other parts of Sweden. A plus, the pillows were lovely, the bed ok, and the staff very nice of you saw them. There's a heat rack in the bathroom and thank goodness because it's towel per guest which I always find so sillly. This place isn't cheaper than others in the area and doesn't deserve the 3 star rating at all. Really, it was fine but gives hostel vibes.

Friendly staffs both front desk and breakfast area. Clean room. Safe for solo traveller. Luggage storage available free of charge.

Everything about the hotel was great. However, our room was located facing a backyard, possibly the relatively close coop supermarket, which was apparently used to loudly unload merchandise every morning (except Sunday) starting around 6am and finishing only hours later. This made it impossible to sleep later than 6am at any point during our week's stay there. Aside from this, the hotel is well located.

Location is great. Hotel was very busy. We notified the front desk that the TV and shower gel weren't working. Nothing was done. Not use to the half enclosed shower. Felt like i was flooding the entire bathroom while showering. Luckily, we were only staying for 2 nights. We only got 1 complimentary water and there was no water refill station. Bare min amenities. There was no facial tissues. I had to buy my own. We were able to store our luggage on our last day. The front desk just hands me a card and directs us where to go. Not farther instructions so we stood there not knowing that the door to luggage storage was unlocked by the front desk.
